DETROIT - A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for Southeast Michigan until 1 p.m. today. During this time, areas could see 1 to 3 inches of snow across the region, with the higher amounts falling between I-94 and I-69.

Metro Detroit weather: A bit more snow Thursday as temps start to fade ahead of arctic blast
The coldest air Metro Detroit has felt this season is on the way, but first we have to get through a little more snow.
One to three inches of snow are expected Wednesday morning in Metro Detroit. The snow fades by the afternoon, with only a drizzle in the forecast later in the day. Temps rise to near freezing today before the frigid cold returns quickly.
The weather forecasts for Friday through Sunday have resulted in some venue closings and event cancellations in Metro Detroit.
Most of the snow is ending tonight, but roads are quite slick. Heavy snow is possible in the thumb north of Port Huron overnight with snow off of Lake Huron.
DETROIT – Parts of Michigan are at risk for “exploding trees” because of the extremely cold weather. Highs in Metro Detroit on Friday and Saturday are in the single digits, with wind chills Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings expected to be at least 10 below zero, if not colder.
