Hundreds more federal agents​ are now being sent to Minneapolis, DHS says, after Renee Nicole Good was shot and killed by an ICE agent.

Elizabeth Lugert-Thom, of St. Paul, warned people on social media last week that two men came to her door in the North End on Wednesday. One had a badge hanging around his neck and she could make out “HS” on it and may have said “Homeland” on it, leading her to believe it was a Homeland Security badge.

The Department of Homeland Security said it chased a suspect to Roosevelt High School, where witnesses described a chaotic scene between the agents and local residents.

Bring Me The News reported how two Target workers – both identifying as U.S. citizens – were tackled to the ground by CBP agents at the Target store in Richfield on Thursday, and then taken away in vehicles. The family of one of the men said they had still not been able to contact him hours later.

Recent ICE activity has been reported in Silver Lake, Eagle Rock and Downey. DHS confirmed that 11 people from Mexico and El Salvador were taken into custody in Downey.

Don Julio, an old Mexican restaurant in Minnesota, has allegedly shut down temporarily in the face of growing ICE raids.

Four day laborers were detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents outside a central Phoenix Home Depot on Sunday morning, according to several immigration activists. The raid comes after reports of increased ICE activity in the metro area.

Federal deportation efforts kicked off in June this year, leading to a wave of protests, the creation of immigrant aid funds and concerns over who exactly immigration agents are targeting.
